I spent a year living in north west Germany with a student railcard and not a lot else to occupy me, so Aachen was one of the first places I headed off to – a bit of a fascination with Charlemagne. My memories are a bit faded, but I remember the cathedral and just really enjoying wandering around the town. Lovely to see your photos and have it all come back to me. Thanks for linking up to #citytripping
