They may not win any prizes but the flowers are beautiful nonetheless – and the photos you’ve captured of them are equally so.

Gorgeous exhibits Catherine. How wonderful for your Father to have been involved with the show. I actually managed to take my sister to Chelsea Flower Show for a Birthday treat two years ago. It’s a fabulous event… sharing your love of plants with so many like minded people. I’ll never forget it and hopefully may even revisit one day.
Happy Birthday and have a great Sunday

I would LOVE to go to Chelsea. Fancy your dad was a judge. As someone who regularly kills plants I would have rewarded all the growers. Hehe. Your flowers are fabulous! #MySundayPhoto

A very impressive array of flowers. I fear the only things I’m growing are tomatoes and strawberries and I’m not sure the strawberries are going to survive my efforts! Interesting story behing the pics too, clearly a poignant time of year for you. #MySundayPhoto

We have strawberries and tomatoes too, but like you our berries are not heading for a bumper crop this year

Thank you! Snowdrops are my favourite in February, Bluebells in April …… then by the time May is here I change my mind every time something new opens. Apple blossom is always special
