I’ve always thought she seemed incredibly strong against the might of Henry, especially considering all the ways you’ve listed that women were not empowered. Even Cromwell admired her strength. This sounds like a great book (and rather an undertaking by the author).

I do wander if mousy Jane and flighty Catherine are going merit 595 pages each!

She started young in the marriage business having been wed to his brother Arthur who was a year older than my son is now. I wouldn’t force HIM into a contract with any girl, even the niece of the Holy Roman Emperor. Didn’t know Catherine was made Regent – must have been super bright and wise – will look up this book. Thanks for the review. 🙂 Jo

That’s an interesting idea! I think Catherine Howard is probably the one who always interested me the most, though she is the one who gets most forgotten, I think! Visiting from #weekendblogshare
